“Sarah showed up authentically from day 1 and made it easy to trust her. She taught me not only to be able to trust and love others again, but most importantly to be able to do that for myself. I am incredibly grateful for the privilege to have worked with her.” – Holly

Message from Sarah
Trauma, addiction, and betrayal can leave deep wounds, especially for those facing extended periods of exposure to high stress situations or having been exposed to life or death circumstances. These experiences can impact every part of your life, making each day feel like an uphill battle filled with anxiety, guilt, or a sense of disconnection.
But healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Hi, I’m Sarah Watt, an Individual Therapist at Silver River Counseling. I specialize in helping individuals process trauma, confront addiction, and rebuild trust in themselves and others. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps the brain heal from trauma by reducing the emotional weight of painful memories. EMDR combined with other trauma-informed approaches can help in guiding your personal process towards healing.
My approach is compassionate and individualized, combining proven techniques with genuine, personal support. No matter if you are a first responder, a veteran, a survivor of abuse or neglect, or dealing with addictions or the effects of caring for someone with an addiction, we will work together to develop a recovery plan that enables you to feel centered, strong, and in command of your life once more.
If you’re ready to take that next step toward healing, I’m here to walk alongside you. Schedule an appointment today.
“Because of the skills and tools I learned from Sarah I am able to enjoy a fulfilling life, and I now realize that my past doesn’t need to define my future. ” – Celeste
